We launched Maverick Ambitions in 2012 to fill a critical need in Newark and central New Jersey, for reliable, high-quality HVAC services. We saw homeowners in the communities where we had grown up struggling with high energy costs, uncomfortable homes and increasing allergies and health issues.
Our neighbors were suffering through humid summers and frigid winters. Worse, outdated systems, old boilers and ancient wiring meant that when their systems broke down, it didn’t just hit their comfort–it hit their wallet.
We knew there had to be a better way.
Our mission quickly became clear.

Before joining forces with John Brown at the helm of Maverick Ambitions, Jessica honed her skills at AvidXchange, a leading financial technology company, where she developed a keen sense for operations and team management.
Her passion for delivering reliable and high-quality HVAC services is matched by her dedication to client satisfaction and community service. Outside of work, Jessica mentors young professionals and advocates for women and minorities in the HVAC industry, inspiring many with her journey and commitment
John, a certified instructor through the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), brings 20 years of HVAC expertise to the table.
Born and raised in Northern New Jersey, John brings a wealth of local knowledge and technical expertise to Maverick Ambitions. His father ran a successful New Jersey plumbing company for 35 years, and John helped out from the age of 10, breathing in the legacy of exemplary service and sterling integrity that it takes to build a business that serves customers for decades.
After graduating from the renowned Lincoln Technical Institute in 2004, John worked at some of the top HVAC companies in New Jersey. In 2012, founded Maverick Ambitions. Today, he and co-owner Jessica Tynes unite their strengths to create a business that stands for quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
John’s focus on sustainable practices and his commitment to mentoring the next generation of HVAC professionals ensure that Maverick Ambitions offers environmentally friendly and innovative services. John’s dedication to his craft and community cements his status as a true industry leader.
