We launched Maverick Ambitions in 2012 to fill a critical need in Newark and central New Jersey, for reliable, high-quality HVAC services. We saw homeowners in the communities where we had grown up struggling with high energy costs, uncomfortable homes and increasing allergies and health issues.
Our neighbors were suffering through humid summers and frigid winters. Worse, outdated systems, old boilers and ancient wiring meant that when their systems broke down, it didn’t just hit their comfort–it hit their wallet.

John, a certified instructor through the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER), brings 20 years of HVAC expertise to the table.
Born and raised in Northern New Jersey, John combines deep local roots with over two decades of technical mastery to lead Maverick Ambitions HVAC. His foundation in the skilled trades began early, inspired by his father’s 35-year legacy of running a premier New Jersey plumbing company. From those early years, John absorbed the core values of sterling integrity and exemplary service required to build a business that serves generations of local families.
After graduating from the renowned Lincoln Technical Institute in 2004, John honed his skills at some of the most prestigious HVAC companies in New Jersey. In 2012, he founded Maverick Ambitions HVAC with a mission to redefine climate control through quality and innovation. Today, alongside co-owner Jessica Tynes, John leads a team dedicated to delivering high-efficiency AC service and sustainable heating solutions.
John is a recognized industry leader committed to eco-friendly practices and the future of the trade.
